PHANTOM TRAINING
Phantom training consists of teaching the stallion to mount a
"phantom" mare and ejaculate into an artificial vagina. The stallion is
collected one time the first day, and then on two occasions, one hour apart on the next
day, or day after. The first of the two collections is discarded, serving only as a
"clean-up". The second and third collections are taken at least one hour apart,
and both samples are evaluated for sperm concentration, motility and morphology.
 | Phantom training of stallion: $150.00 |
COOLED SEMEN
Once the stallion has been collected it is advisable to
evaluate the ability of the stallion's semen to ship in an Equitainer, cooled. The semen
is evaluated and extended using several different extenders and concentrations. Samples
are then packed in the Equitainer and evaluated at several different times: 24 hours, 48
hours and possibly 72 hours.
 | Collection of stallion ejaculate: $90.00
|
 | Collection of ejaculate, extension, analysis
$120.00
|
 | Collection of ejaculate, extension, analysis,
preparation for transport $150.00
|
 | Cooled semen analysis $75.00
|
 | Equitainer deposit (refundable upon return): $300.00
|
 | Equitainer rental: $25.00
|
 | Packaging semen for transport:

|
Collection charges, as above, apply to semen
